Nimmersatt – Das Spiel mit den Hungrigen
(Insatiable – The Game with the Hungry)
Interactive mechanical sound installation. 25 used, empty pots and lids, 25 servo motors, two loudspeakers, Mac mini, Kinect, Arduino Mega and hanging frame.

Nimmersatt – Das Spiel mit den Hungrigen addresses the contradictions of the global consumer society. A pulley mechanism opens and closes the lids of the empty cooking pots, at times in automated, geometric sequences, at times triggered by the movements of viewers, who are tracked by a Kinect camera. Loudspeakers emit the sounds of the lids opening and closing, a clattering that snaps at hunger. Through its title and sound installation, the work creates a haunting image in which abundance and hunger appear as two sides of the same system.

Nimmersatt – Das Spiel mit den Hungrigen
Interaktive mechanische Toninstallation.
